Re: Petco Morphs
Most of the snakes there are sick anyway, they're just not treated right. My local petco doesn't supply them with hides so that people can look at them. Just wrong.

Consider normal BPs, alone.
$5-10 for each snake, sold for $79.99, moving about a dozen a week.
The fish have an even higher profit margin.
That $9.99 Bala Shark cost them about 25 cents, tops.
-Everything- in that place can be bought for half the price online, or less.
I got 3 thermostats off Amazon for the price of *1* at PetCo and I'm sure the Amazon seller made a profit too, even at that those bargain prices.
What kind of petco is where you live? I've never even seen one of those cheap dimmers zoo med makes let alone an actual themostat at ours.
And as for the animals themselves they've never had any morphs, only just a tank full of stressed out roaming normals with stuck shed all over them... as usual per a chain pet store.

I had no idea any main chain lfs had morphs at all? It's alway's usually just normal bp's. I bought two normal's from petco just to hold me over till I got my annies. One of them was the biggest they had (had runny nose stain's), had to buy it still because it was pretty thick. Now, he she has shedd and look's great. Doesn't like f/t but will take live. The other normal has a bit of a attitude. Actually, has some nice marking's and eat's f/t rat's and mice like a champ. The same petco that I bought them from did have a rtb (I know it's not a morph. But, was supprised to see a different type of constrictor).

Western MD.
They have Zilla Temperature Controllers which, while not the best thermostats on earth, sure beat nothing.
I was using the rheostat things and they were a nightmare.
I was checking temps every hour and hardly ever slept.
At least these keep my temps level until I get a rack system built with FlexWatt and all the bells and whistles.
Our PetSmart carries the ZooMed dimmers.
[got two of those worthless things]
We have the obligatory hysterical, shredded normals, too.
Half log "hides", blinding overhead lights on 24/7, too low heat and humidity, no temp gradient.
People constantly pecking on the glass.
That's why I bought my Iggy.
I'd just taken her out to hold her and she shot up my shoulder into my hair and wouldn't come back out.
I had to get her out of there.
She's just been the sweetest little snake, ever.

lol here in Canada we have PetSmart which is compatible to your Petco - usually morphs are labeled as "fancy ball pythons," -
