Not only do I think it's a good message and gorgeous art BUT also it will also expose him to reptiles at an early age and hopefully when he sees a snake he'll remember Verdi and not be closed minded to our scaly buddies. I plan on putting a photo of my GTP in the front along with a message to him. Hopefully my aunt and uncle aren't scared of snakes and will read it to him. I see a lot of you post pictures of your kids playing with your pets and I know there are people that do educational shows with reptiles for children. What else can we do to make sure that we spread our love of these cold blooded critters to the upcoming generations?
I absolutely loved this book when I was younger! I had it by my bed and would read it literally every nite according to my mom lol. It is probably my earliest memory of snakes and one of the things that really got me into them. I definetly am going to get a GTP one day because of that book. Im pretty sure I still have it somewhere?
