    I must say that another cause could be that you are thawing them too quickly. Have you ever dropped an ice cube in hot water before? It cracks like crazy. I thaw my rodents out by leaving them in ziplock bags on the counter for a few hours, then once they are thawed slowly at room temp I warm them up in hot water. You could also thaw them out in the fridge overnight too.

    HAHAHAHA. Oh my gosh, that mental image is too much. I would be laughing while wrenching if mine did that. hahaha.
