glad it worked out! I actually clearly had a popped belly when I fed the other day. I don't think it was popped when I offered it, I am pretty sure the snake did it; when she stopped constricting, the mouse was squished FLAT where the coil was. Fascinating, but one of those cringe inducing things. haha. All the while she was eating it I was just PRAYING it wouldn't rupture because I had JUST done a tank cleaning and was not in the mood to clean up mouse gut. It didn't burst, to my relief.

Gotta love the unique problems feeding snakes create.

When Agnes explodes her supper [very common...she's really "kills" those dead rats way deader] she just sucks the trail of guts in like spaghetti.....and then 'smacks her lips'.

I must say that another cause could be that you are thawing them too quickly. Have you ever dropped an ice cube in hot water before? It cracks like crazy. I thaw my rodents out by leaving them in ziplock bags on the counter for a few hours, then once they are thawed slowly at room temp I warm them up in hot water. You could also thaw them out in the fridge overnight too.

HAHAHAHA. Oh my gosh, that mental image is too much. I would be laughing while wrenching if mine did that. hahaha.
