Wow.
no not world of warcraft, but my normal bp monty was in shed a few days ago, and when i checked on him yesterday, he looked really bright, his eyes were bright, he was flicking his tongue like crazy, and when i touched him he felt silky smooth, i didnt see any shed, so does anyone know whats up? no im just kidding, i found his shed a big full shed all by his self, no soaking, it was under his hide, im curious as to how he did this, i never saw him push against the tank, i know they try during the night, but his hides are plastic bowls, barely enough room for him/her to fit in, which is good for security, i was astonished by this, really more of a mindfart , but i was really proud of him, anyone sorry for the senseless post

I know most of mine do circles inside their hides, regardless if they fit or not, to remove their shed. Congrats on the successful shed

I didn't see Lily shed either. She cleared up, ate a mouse, pooped, and hid in her hide for two days. When I lifted up her hide, she was sitting on top of her shed skin. It's normal for snakes to look like they've shed and then actually shed a day or two later.

Good to hear!
I don't use hides at all for any of my snakes. I use contractors paper and smooth ceramic bowls. Never have a problem shed. As long as your humidity is proper the snake will shed correctly. I do put the waterbowls on top of the heat tape when they are shedding which boosts me from the normal 60% humidity to 70% or so.

B
