    New Display Enclosure in progress

Well, I went to visit my mom to help her clean out her garage and while doing so I found some spare boards layin around. I decided to put in a couple hours and make a display unit for Mr. Wiggles... Interior is about 35" x 18" x 16", so I've got plenty of growing time til he moves in

This is 3 hours invested... and I'll post more as I get more done.

What are you going to do for heat? And what are you using for the inner walls to deal with the humidity?

UTH inside the enclosure. Holes drilled in the bottom for air circulation to the UTH. Wood interior will all be sealed with polycrylic and then covered with Vinyl. Ventilation will be put in near the top. There will also be feet on the box so there's air that can get under it to the UTH ventilation holes.

    its lookin pretty nice!

UTH inside the enclosure? you might want to think about a tile floor with the UTH underneath, even the UTH under plywood would work fine, it might take a couple days of tstat adjusting to get it where you want it though

That's what I'm doing. UTH underneath vinyl tile. I don't really wanna do ceramic tile because I'd like something that'll transfer heat just a little more easily.

I do think you will have temp problems with UTH. Or its going to be difficult. Are you putting in a basking light or anything else?

No basking light. UTH will be on a thermostat, so unless you mean temps not getting high enough, I doubt that will be an issue either.

    Just an update...

Door is just resting in there...

Door hardware installed... and I'm a little pissed because my 2 hinge pack came with only 7 screws... so there's one missing.

Should be getting my flexwatt tomorrow, so I can then wire/install that. I have my vinyl ready to cover the interior, and silicone to seal it all

Total cost so far = $20 (Paint, hinges/locks, screws) - Not to shabby
