Posting on behalf of my sister, she's having a bit of an issue with one of her leos. He looks like he's got a bit of nose rub. The tip of his nose looks pink/reddish and a bit raw. There's no discharge or blood, it just looks scraped. She just switched to new plastic food/water bowls so we're thinking he may have scraped himself going after his mealworms. Neither of us have seen him rubbing on the glass, so that's the only thing we can think of. He seems fine, behavior is normal and his appetite is still great. He licks it every once in a while, but not excessively.
She's wondering if there's anything we can put on it. I thought maybe neosporin without pain killer, but I was worried about him ingesting petroleum product when he licks himself. I was also thinking maybe betadine instead? Any suggestions?
