I have a 3 1/2 year old who's has a snake. Obviously I do need to help with the care but he does the most of it. He helps me change thebulbs in the morning and at night. And he reminds me to change em. He tells me when they need more water. And he loves to hold them. He knows not to be loud or jump around them. I think by time he's 12 he'll be able to care for them 100% by himself. I think a kids ability to take care of any animal (even herps) has a lot to do with how early their parents put responsibility on them. Also how much parents support them. To the younger ones with herps that are well taken care of, healthy, and thriving. More power to ya =D![]()
