    Stuck shed :(

So my brother in law took this snake in from a guy that couldn't care for him any longer & he was having a really bad shed. Since I'm "snakesitting" the rest of his BP's, he went ahead & brought him to my house. I've set him up in our rack, got his humidity up to 70%, tried the pillowcage, wrapping him in warm papertowels then rubbing him from his nose to the end of the shed with a semi-rough cloth, then yesterday I even took him in the bathroom with my while I showered (really crappy ventilation). Nothing seems to be even loosening the rest of this shed up. It's from the middle of his head to about 6 inches down his back. Anyone have any suggestions that I haven't tried??

Poor guy I sure hope you're quarantining him from the rest of your collection! I suggest a "baby warm" bath, then try working it off with your hand or a warm face cloth. That usually worked for me, especially this time of year

I am. The others are still in the old rack. I forgot to mention it, but I've tried that too, 3 times

Try some baby oil? As far as I know it's not harmful to them, someone correct me if I'm wrong...

You can use a sterilte or rubbermaid tub with a lid, I use a 41qt sterilite locking lid tub.

    1 to 1 1/2 inches of 85-88 degree water

A hand towel for the snake to lay on in the water or a half log hide, I have one specifically for this purpose, it helps the snake rub that old shed off easier.

Close lid and allow the snake to sit in 100% humidity for 30 minutes and replenish with more warm water and soak another 30 minutes.

By this time the shed should slide right off

^^^This. I did it 2 days ago for my girl and the excess on her back came right off.
