    Will she go

I have a 20 month old pastel female who is weighing in at 950g. Until recently she was a problem feeder, but now she is pounding medium rats like they are candy. Do you think she will gain the weight needed to go this season. I would like to start introducing males to her but I am worried about her going off feed and then being to small.

IMO 950 grams is far too small to consider for a female...

I agree that 950 is to small, but do you think she has a chance at gaining the weight before the season is over.

No way too small. Perhaps if she was 1300 and pounding like that I'd be far more confident. I wouldn't even try until next season based on her weight and age. She's 20 months. Not even 2 years. I wouldn't try her. But that's my opinion. Why have a young female gain all the weight quickly like that just to have her lose it again bc of slugs.

I persoanlly would breed her right away. Give her time to grow for now nothing wrong with cooling her down say late febuary when she is closer to 1500 but if she wont get that far that fast is say 1250-1350 ud be ok, plus she will be almost, if not 2 by then. Dont want to rush into it hurt your chances for next year or hurt your animal.

    Wait until atleast next fall.
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
