I've read that the breeding really starts after the cooling ends? If that's the case, I guess I don't have to worry. Atleast not yet.
This year I have 2 pairings going on. I have normal x spider and another pair normal x spider. As far as when does the lock count? My male nor the females now have any interest in each other. My females are becoming increasingly larger by the week and now by the day and the male has no interest in them. That's what I'm going by. I'm been putting the pairs together on 5 days off 3 days for about 2 1/2 months. Hopefully what I have done is going to produce me some lil ones, so far all the signs are pointing in that direction.
1. Tons of locks that lasted for days on end
2. Females growing larger by the day
3. No interest between the opposite sexes toward each other anymore
So I'm basically doing the opposite of what I did last year, which was my first try at breeding. Last year I was crazy worrying and I didn't get any lil ones. This year I got a bunch of help from people here on Bp about relax and keep them together and let them be and wala, totally different, in snakes and me Good Luck!
