I just wanted to say hi and post a little bit about myself as an animal owner. My name is Jon, I'm 25, and I've been an animal enthusiast my whole life. After the reading I've done so far, this seems like a fun community and I hope I can offer the kind of great contributions that I've seen thus far. Here it goes...

I have owned: Dogs, Cats, a Parakeet, a Bearded Dragon, countless Painted/Snapping/Musk turtles, a Green Iguana, Anoles, Salt and Freshwater fish, Horses, a Leopard Gecko, and now BALL PYTHONS. I currently have a Wild Type Female named Daenerys and a Bumble Bee male named Khal Drogo. I also have a Short-Haired St. Bernard named Buddha and some dinky pet store freshwater fish who I like just the same. I also really like gardening and believe my plants are pets by the same definition as my animals.

Welcome to the site! Don't put down the dinky pet store fish, I got a couple of goldfish myself from a pet store, and promptly named them after different kinds of sushi expecting the usual demise, but they've been around now for over 2 years. You can get pretty attached to them as much as I don't want to admit it, haha
