    I find that just misting the tank when they're shedding is sufficient. The scales left over from her previous shed aren't going to harm her. I'd just leave her alone to minimize stress. She'll be back to normal after her next shed.
    Just to add on... I mist the tank too but i also try to once a day move her and mist her hide really really really well.

    That's if they don't mind being moved... mines mood doesn't seem to change during shed :X
