I would get 1.1 orange dream, 1.2 black pastel orange ghost, 0.2 butter/lesser enchi, 1.2 ultramel, 1.1 blood motley boa, 1.1 moonglow boa, and 1.1 super dwarf tiger reticulated python. And maybe some hognoses and a few racks, some good proportional thermostats, and some sexy display cages. Can I have more money?

I'd probably get a Spark (het puma) male, and 1 or two breeder ivory females.

Question, though, what does the Puma sell for?
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

Re: What would you get if you had 10,to 12k to spend

I just spent about 10k in trades...... I already got in 1.1 09 double het blizzard sd retics (will breed next year thinking about putting them together this year) 0.1 soul sucker over 1 kilo(if the trade goes through) 0.1 fire het axanthic and 0.1 albino spider (again working on the deal as we speak)

I think for 10k in trade this is a good list of pickups, not ideal for everyone, but it is what i am working on

Desert Ghost (recessive) stuff. That's what I did. Everything DG gets better with age.

I picked the 4-5 males I really liked then picked up double and triple gene females to go with them. I mixed in some nice single gene females also.

I would pay off a chunk of my student loans with it. XD

But, if it had to be snakes (I wish someone would put a gun to my head and make me spend 10k on snakes!), I'd probably take a chance on the desert thing. I love them, love their combos. If the issue with the females gets resolved, I think it would be a great investment.

Otherwise, I'd stick it in a bank account and spend exorbitant amounts on perfect examples of base morphs as I come across them. That's my actual long term breeding plan, building multi-gene animals from perfect base morphs. Pastels in particular. I love pastels, and there are just so many disappointing ones out there. It makes me nervous to buy any multigene snakes with pastel. I made that mistake with my bee (didn't know about browning out at the time), and I think he's going to end up just being a pet. So, I'd really like to work to consistently breed really awesome yellow pastels.

Went off on a bit of a tangent there. XD

DG are gorgeous. Do they have issues like regular deserts do?

I be looking for some codom with at least a 66% het this or that. then I also make sure i have enough supplies to last me about 6 months on top of that. ( rest would go into the bank so the interest could possibly off set the feeding cost of the next few months after that.
Was married to 4theSNAKElady (still wish we were)
    Ball pythons
    0.1 pieds 1.0 banana pied
    0.1 het pied
