The enclosure is escape proof, I made sure of that when I built the thing. The whole thing is fully enclosed and if you dig down there's hardware cloth covering the entire bottom. I just didn't think of protecting against theft and only had a sliding latch on the door, no lock. Here's a picture of the enclosure, it is now always locked!

Wow that is really freaking uncool. I would have gone nuts if someone stole my tegu!! Very nice outdoor lizard house tho
