    What kind of UTH??? Is it that ZooMed you mentioned in another thread? If so, NO its not ok. That is what caused my problem last year. Foil cannot disperse heat well - it contains heat which is why we use it for cooking. Heat tape from Home Depot, etc, that is designed for sealing hot duct work is better. However, if this is an Ultratherm, they are better designed to release the heat so foil may be ok for that. But I don't think I'd cover it completely with ANYthing......
