Rainforest Environment: What to buy?
I am setting up a 18x18x24 inch terrarium with a waterfall and fogger for a high humidity environment. My original plan was to house my dream snakes (ahaetulla prasina) but I have since decided to wait on them until I can build a larger (6 foot) enclosure for them. What do I do with this terrarium now? What are some non-venomous snakes (preferably arboreal or semi-arboreal) that would thrive in an 80% humidity environment of this physical size? Prefer not to have another python/boa.
Could a rough green snake inhabit this cage? I might do that and just not use the fogger.

I've been looking at those lately. Very beautiful, though the "most don't live more than 6 months in captivity" part scares me. The humidity is right, but it says they are mostly burrowers and My terrarium is set for small arboreal species.

Yeah, I guess that means getting a CB would be important.
Damn, one of those would be cool. :3

Seems a small cage for an arboreal snake. More suitable for some geckos, I would think.

That's pretty much what I've come to think as well. It saddens me, because I'm not a lizard fan. I'm snake-obsessed. I'll figure something out. If nothing else, it's a really neat vivarium. Maybe it can be a temporary home for smaller snakes or maybe I'll put some frogs in it.

Dart frogs would be awesome if your up to raising the fruit flies, lol... Or you could use it for a BABY green tree python. But then you mentioned you weren't too interested in another boa or python... So, I guess I'd recommend a few dart frogs or a crested gecko or two...

I should emphasize that I am always interested in more boas and pythons lol. I just don't want one for THIS cage. I decided to take the repti-fogger back to the store, and house a rough green snake in this cage.
Also, with the fifty bucks I got back, I paid for redecorating my python's and corn snake's cages, plus plants and moss for the new cage. Those foggers are turbo-expensive for what they are :/
