Can someone help me? Ball python, split on stomach?
I own quite a few Ball Pythons. And my first, and my favorite (because she is my first) Has an odd split down her belly. She's usually a very aggressive eater. But for some reason, she won't eat. Included are pictures. It doesn't appear to be scale-rot to me. But I am by no means, an expert. Just wondering what this could be? I'm really worried about her. It's been like this for a week or so. And it's not getting any better, or any worse.

Also her cold side of her tank is 80 degrees. With a basking spot of a constant 92. Humidity is at 60 percent.

Is there anything sharp in her cage?
It looks like scale rot or a burn to me, but I'm not an expert. More info on your setup such as substrate, heating method, tub or tank will help the others give you an idea of what could be wrong.

It shouldn't be a burn on her underbelly. Only a portion of it is like that. Repti-Bark is what I use for substrate. And a U.T.H. and a nightbulb if it gets too cold at night. A log hide, on one side. And a rock hide on the other. And a water bowl in the middle.

That looks like a burn mark to me. Does she have a bottom heater? I had one snake get a minor burn in a rack with a bottom cable. Her scar looks like that one now. She is fine, has been doing well for two years, with a BACK heater tub.
Hope she is ok

I've never noticed it before. She doesn't seem to be in any kind of distress. Except not eating. She ate on the second. So, it's been twelve days. Which, I feed her every week.

It kinda looks like cleft scales (incubation temp problem) that is accented but what I'd say is scale rot. I am not vet but that is what it looks to be from my point of view.

It kinda looks like scale rot to me also. But I am not a vet. I would take her to a vet as soon as you can. I hope she is okay. Keep us posted on her condition.
