    Actually neither is correct. But at least folks know what you're saying if you say, "I kind of want..." "I kind have want..." doesn't make any sense at all.

    It's not a matter of picking on you about slang or careless grammar. It's a matter of WANTING to understand what you're trying to say. You want people to want to understand you, don't you? So try not to be so sensitive when they are simply asking for clarification on bad grammar or offering suggestions on improving your communications skills.
