im trying to come up with a good name. i want my last name (armison) and reptiles in the name. i kinda like Armisons reptile sanctuary (ARS). what do you guys think?

I wouldnt do that. If you sell animals people might look at you as why is a sanctuary selling and breeding animals.

Sounds more like a reptile rescue than a breeder...

There is already a well established ARS in the reptile world. You should consider a different direction.

Armison's Royal Reptiles - ARR
Armison's Reptile Kingdom - ARK
Armison's Superior Serpents - ASS (my personal favorite ) I crack myself up...
Armison's Royal Exotics - ARE

those are some great names. i might go with Armison's Superior Serpents (ASS). any other ideas?

Keep in mind that you want something people can spell easily from memory. "Armison" is pretty easy, but make it even easier. Use words that are easy to spell and easy to remember. I'd remember Blue Lake Reptiles if I met them at a show, but if I met "Armison Reptiles", I would probably sit at my desk saying "I know their name started with an A...".

I agree to try and keep it simple. When I first started I had a hard time picking a name for myself. I ended up with Everglades Exotics because 1) it rolls off the tongue fairly easily 2) I'm located just outside the Everglades 3) A portion of all profits from the sale of my herps goes towards Everglades conservation and 4) I chose the word Exotics instead of Pythons or Geckos because who knows, in the future, I may want to expand into other cold blooded wonders and possibly even mammals. So I tried to get a name that was easy to remember, easy to say, and left me room for expansion.
