    Question Power House Reptiles

I did a search on this name on both here and the BOI and there is a mix of opinions. I am inquiring about a pair of het g stripes and a het clown female from them, I have asked for paperwork guaranteeing genetics, and while awaiting a response I would like to know if anyway has dealt with them. How was the transaction? And the reptiles, are you satisfied? Any reason I should steer clear?

    Thanks in advance!!

Search ClarkGeckos or clarksgeckos and Morph King Reptiles and that should be enough to give your answer.

Personally Id pass on them 100% no hesitations

Thanks Rich. I respect your words profusely.

I did research on the names you have given me, and while there are still a lot of good and bad reviews, I believe I will hold onto my money and look elsewhere. Thanks again!

    Re: Power House Reptiles

I have already posted the feedback from my dealings with PHR on the BOI, and since you have already made the decision not to purchase from them, I will not bother posting it again here in this thread.

Rich does not like them because he feels that their prices are too low, and considers them to be "market crashers.".
He was very upset this season, when he and some friends of his, that were working on the Albino BumbleBee project tried to hold their prices high.
PHR advertised the Bee het Albinos that they produced at about half of their "set market price."

With all of the animosity that many breeders have towards Joe C., starting in the MKR days, and now carrying over to PHR, I have not seen one legitimate complaint against them. No sick animals, No false hets, No bait and switch...

Every thread on them is full of posts made by competitors, crying about their low prices, and spouting off their personal hatred for Joe C.
Other then that, it's all positive feedback from happy customers, and then the same competitors attack the happy customers for posting about their positive transaction.

    Here are the facts:
They have very high quality, healthy animals, along with great customer service, and fair prices.

I debated about buying from them. I saw them list a female clown for $1000, and I was in the market for such. Their trader rating was good on Fauna. Their BOI was good though one of their partners (Capone) seems to have a bad rap sheet from back in 2006 I think, though since then I didn't see any angry or unhappy customers. So I decided to email them about the snake.

Their website didn't have ANY terms and conditions so I expressed interest in the clown and asked what their policies were... I got the policies in writing and they were satisfactory to me:

I guarantee the animals that I sell to be well started and healthy and properly sexed upon arrival. If there should be a problem with the animal I need to know as soon as the animal arrives so that we can get the situation handled. I accept responsability for the animals welfare until you receive the animal and let me know that it is ok or not. I have never (knock on wood) had a problem wioth a Ball Python shipment. They happen to be very tough snakes and I know how to ship them, that helps

I ship through Fed Ex and use Priority Express Service only. I also do not ship when tempos are below freezing on your end or my end (night time low).

Genetics and sex are always guaranteed and yes that guarantee is for life.
Upon receiving the written terms I decided to go forward with the transaction. My baby was just hatched so she needs to spend some time there to get some meals in her (and I assume stay longer because it is getting FREEZING here in Chicago!) but when I receive her I will give an update.

I hope the transaction is good. So far my correspondence with them has been received as polite and professional.

    I hope that helps.

I'm sure you got the drift of the two staunchly different opinions from any cursory reading through fauna about MKR and Capone and the current incarnation of PHR. there is a lot of animosity, including the recent citrus pastel whiteout vs. PHR washout controversy. I wouldn't personally do business with them just based on the opinion that I've formed from reading too many BOI threads. at the same time, I don't believe that they've ever defrauded or scammed anyone, and all their stock appears to be healthy.

best of luck with your search.

p.s. I hope the fact that you're shopping for a new addition means your living situation has stabilized somewhat. it's never easy to go through such upheaval.

Yes, I have had multiple transactions with them, and was happy with them all.

My first transaction with PowerHouse Reptiles was a trade deal.
I contacted Clark Tucker and offered a Ford E-350 van in trade for a male Lesser Pastel, and a female BumbleBee.
He accepted the offer, personally delivered the snakes, and picked up the van.
I still have both of these animals in my collection, and they are A+ all the way.

I posted positive feedback about my transaction on the BOI, and it turned into one of the threads that I described in my earlier post.
    http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=111931

Clark and I kept in contact, and I have had many more transactions with him over the years.
I had a storefront and ran a local Pet Shop here in Sebastian, FL.
I purchased many Normals, Hets, and lower end BP mutations for the Pet Shop, as well as some higher end BP's for my personal collection.
Every transaction was flawless, and I received very good customer service.

My daughter Samantha and I, had the opportunity to travel to Alabama last August and visit the PHR facility.
We had planned on camping out in a tent on the property, but Clark and his wife Nicole would not have it, and hosted us in their home.
We ended up staying for nine days, and spent much of the time with their amazing animals. It is a very impressive collection, that is very well taken care of.
We were fortunate enough to see what I believe was the Worlds first YellowBelly KingPin hatch out, as well as the Worlds first Washout mutations...

We also had a chance to go hiking on Clarks acreage, and went sightseeing in the area.
Much of the time was spent just hanging out with the Tucker family, playing video games and board games, watching T.V, BBQ'ing, and just plain imposing...

Clark took us out in his boat on Lake Mitchel, overnight fishing for BlueCats, where we caught several 5-7lb Cats, and I landed a 13 1/2 pounder...

Joe C. had Clark give us a Pastave male for helping with the care of the animals while we were there. We were happy to do it, and were not expecting anything in return.

Make no mistake about it, this is not a case of a friend sticking up for his buddy.
It is a very happy, long time customer, that has developed a friendship with another breeder over the years, giving his buddy the positive feedback that he has rightfully earned and deserves.

I spent about $18k with them just before all the controversy broke out. Got exactly what I payed for, and Capone was more than easy to deal with. The main problem people seem to have is the enormous price cuts MKR started advertising on Kingsnake.

If you check my photo gallery, you'll see a couple of pics of a male genetic stripe I bought from them. Those are the pics they sent when I was selecting one - that little guy alone was ~ $10,000 back then.

Thank you everyone for posting to this thread. After more research and reading more posts, I called Clark myself this morning and we talked on the phone for over an hour. He was more than pleasant with me, and while we did talk business, we also spent quite a while shooting the poop. While no business transaction was made during the convo, I believe I jumped the gun a little with the decision on looking elsewhere. I will be talking with Clark again in the near future, weather it be to purchase animals from him or not. Thanks again for yall chiming in
