poop question.
So.. the title should say it all.. this poop question involves two snakes. Both used the same antibiotic, which with some Google searching I read other threads were the antibiotics cause this and it will pass after some time. The picture below is from my Burmese some time in the last dew hours while I was at work.

Now, our pastel also.had this same looking poop except it was in smaller crystals and there were 5. Now it may be urine but I assumed it was poop..if so I'm sorry. The antibiotic that they're on is gentamicin sulfate ophthalmic solution USP,O.3%(sterile)
Thanks in advanced everyone

Re: poop question.
Hi. I don't have any experience with that antibiotic, but I have seen similar feces from snakes that were dehydrated (maybe a side effect of the antibiotics?). As long as the snakes in question don't appear to be having any difficulties pooping, I wouldn't worry about it.

Abos are notorious for wreaking havoc on the kidneys. Be sure you're doing soaks for both the animals on them, daily water temp 88.f.

Re: poop question.
It looks like the urates that my ball passed while she was on antibiotics. I just soaked her and she was fine.

Re: poop question.
Thanka everyone for the replies. I couldn't get my started threads to open so I apologize for the late. A quick update, both snakes are doing quite well, the Burmese has defecated twice and both were normal. And also had a perfect shed. our pastel Is still on antibiotics which I really hope they are doing more good then bad, but after eating 2 weeks ago also had a food "defection" (Sp?) Thanks you for the replies! And I apologize for the late reply and thanks.
