    finally in business!

    Hey Guys,

After a while of saving and trying to plan my set ups I finally got everything operational with herpstats and proper heat sources. Just thought I would share it with you guys!!

Here's the Ball python room (there's another quarantine tank that's not in the picture )

here is the boa room which is acting as a quarantine center right now as I just picked up my boas today .

    Thanks for looking guys!

I was surprised when the gf agreed. I've always wanted a boa. I almost bought a carpet python too. LOL

    Re: finally in business!

I was really happy when my wife came up with the idea for us to have a few boa projects. I love ball pythons, but the personality of a boa is hard to beat. Nice set up, I am trying to figure out what kind of racks I want to switch to

honestly, I have melamine racks built with back heat and it's pretty hard to keep the temps where they need to be. Especially if your using hides at all. You can get the back of the bin to sit at 90 or 92 and inside the warm hide will be 82. I'm going to be buying some ARS racks next year. From what I hear from all the local breeders, they work the best.

Back heat works best if the room you are keeping them in is warm. If the ambient temps in the room are only in the low 70s then back heat doesn't work as well.

ARS is definitely the way to go in terms of professional racks. Freedom Breeder is a close second though with their new designs.

Great looking setups, it's nice to have everything the way you planned.
