    Blood on the vent

My BP just finished shedding(in two tube like pieces, no worries), but I'm concerned because he has a little bit of blood on the vent. At first I thought it just looked sore, but there was a little bit of blood there.

Here's a picture... I'm curious as to if I should be more than a little worried. Was he just rough on himself shedding? My camera's a bit old, so it may not be that visible. Also, it's not seeping or anything. It just looks like its lightly coated around the edge.

That's normal. The blood vessels in the cloaca are extremely sensitive and the pulling of the shed can make them lightly bleed. You have nothing to worry about unless it gets heavier or doesn't stop.

Thanks a bunch. I hadn't noticed that happen before, so I got worried. If I started bleeding out of my rear end, personally, I'd panic.
