That cat always ignores the BP, and same way around. She even lives with an adult Hyper-active Golden Retriever, no issues.

I'm more than sure that other people in here let their cats/pets be near their BPs under supervision...
I work as a vet tech, and you would be surprised by the number of people that come in and say the same thing you said.

It only take one time for something to happen.
