When setting up my newest rack I ran tests for temps and RH for a week. Air temp inside the hide was 84-85 while the overall air (ambient) temp was 80-81. As far as the surface temp there was no difference in or out of the hide. So I'd say yes it's a little warmer inside but I don't think it is anything to worry about.
