    moving over to tubs

so ive put this off for awhile but ive had my rack built for like 2 months now and im going to be moving my balls over to it today. the only question i have is how many holes to solder into the side of the tubs. I want to get enough ventilation without loosing all the humidity

i would set up 1 28qt and a 41qt and drill about 10 holes on each side and see where the humidity is at and then make more holes if needed for more ventilation

with my 28 and 41 qts a started with 10 holes per tub and think i ended up with 14 holes in the 28 and 18 in the 41 to get roughly 55-60% humidity but everyones set up is different along with the region and normal humdidty outside

I am struggling with this problem as well. Im experimenting with cypress in one tub, dry paper towel in one tub, aspen in one tub. So far Im having the most luck with aspen. Least amount of holes for a constant 50~% humidity.

Its always better to test with a few holes and move up from there. My room was always around 55% frpm my fishtank so I have like 40 1/8" holes in mine and it would still get high if the water spilt.

    Re: moving over to tubs

I start with one row of solder holes about 1 to 1.5 inch apart on the sides and front, and then increase from there.
