    Not many in my collection I can handle. Some of the ones that don't have a potent amount of venom in my collection are either too defensive or skiddish to mess with. The Old World tarantulas have the most potent venom and can send you to the hospital. You need to be waaaaay more concerned if you have an allergic reaction to the bite. No reported deaths that I know of have ever came from a tarantula bite though. But the experiences from the bite is very, very, very painful and reoccuring symptoms can last for weeks to months after the initial bite. Here is a bite report by RobC from an Old World tarantula the Poecilotheria ornata:

    so are there ones that are 100% safe or is there always the risk of getting bit just like with snakes? and what ones deliver the lowest/weakest venom per bite?
