How much to feed daily
There was some discussion in another thread about how to feed rodents; hopper, top of screen, dump it on the bedding.
Anyone ever come up with an average number of pieces of lab block to give rats, mice or ASFs? Either a piece count or an average weight per rodent.
I was guessing at two pieces of lab block per day for a mouse or ASF and six per day for an adult rat.
I'm just looking for a general guideline because I know the mice and ASFs are wasting food. The rats seem to be eating it all but a few tubs eat alot every day and are looking chunky. I have two males that are over 700 grams each.
Any ideas?

I only feed ASF's every other day, breeding mice and rats, I just keep the screens full at all times...
Growout bins, I just fill it, and let it go down to almost gone before refilling...

Any idea how much they're eating? The ASF's are definitely wasting food so I need an idea of how much to give them every other day. The mice don't chew it like the ASF's but they do pee on it and then ignore it. Some of the rats are just eating too much.
I'm trying to get a ballpark figure so that I don't underfeed and they start eating each other.

I guessed 3 average sized pieces of lab block per adult ASF per day. 2 per mouse probably.
6+ per norway rat.
All lines are different though, so use that as a general guideline, and adjust as you see fit.
