water bowl size
OK... I need mental help here please ... confused: BP water bowl size is the question. I saw some info that said small BPs could use 2 oz. condiment cups and full sized BPs could use 4"x4" cups. REALLY ? I thought water bowls served 2 purposes: drink and soak. Since I use 28qt. tubs for my (few) full grown ones and that they each have dog water bowls (8"x2") and that seems to take up a chunk of real estate...and my 16Qt tub BPs get a 3"x1.5" bowl), I pose the question : can I/should I downsize the water bowls ?

Of course you can. I use fairly small bowls. I must add, soaking is not the "norm" for balls. Some do, and some live in their water bowl for no reason, and some just soak occasionally, but I spent a bunch of money on large bowls for all of mine, and none of them used them to soak at all lol. I figured as they got bigger, to save space, I downsized, and they don't look like they really care either way lol.

I use the 3 or 4 inch crock style dessert bowls from walmart for adults and the same bowl next size down for my hatchling racks

Ball pythons do not need to soak. You can provide a larger bowl but it is unneeded.
