Any wood that is sealed will be fine. Just as mentioned make sure the sealer is well dry usually I'd recommend in placing it in a well ventilated space at as high a temp as you can manage for at least 24 hours. Avoid 'spar' varnish as it never truly hardens and exterior deck products as they often contain insecticides and anti mould products that may out gas toxins.
