    Miss Shed Alot

Kira is shedding again. Her last shed was like 2 weeks ago. She will be 4 months old on the 26th of this month and weighed 169g on her last shed and I weighed her the other day and she was like 210g. She is putting on weight fast, so I'm guessing thats why she is shedding so often. I will weigh her again when she is done because some of that weight may have been food but her feed day is tomorrow. So hopefully she poops after her shed so I can get an accurate weigh on her to see if she really is putting on weight that fast. It also may just be cause she is still injured from 2 1/2 months ago when she had her tape in the terrarium accident post you all may have seen that I posted. Well she is healing awesomely and feeding as well as ever and it really is getting smaller by the day. Really looking forward to what the scab looks like after this shed. Hoping it will be completely healed in 2-3 more sheds at most. Im guessing it is just because of the old injury and I know snakes shed more often when they have wounds that are healing. Well I'll give an update on it when she is done shedding and I get a weight on her.

Just to add I saw signs of her getting ready to shed but didn't think she would due to the time frame. She had a good shed going on for her humidity still at 60% but I just bumped it to 70%. Half her shed was off when I looked in one piece. So hopefully she will do the second half in just 1 more piece. 2 pieces is not bad I guess for a 60% humidity shed.

Well she shed and pooped (a lot) and so so s happy to say tht her scab is gone and her wound is nothing but a very small scar for what it was and looks like it will get smaller with her next shed. So happy right now. And she weighed in at 185g so she gaines 16g in 2 weeks. So she didn't gain as much weight as I thought thank god. Just so happy I can put her. Freak injury behind me now. Man I love fresh albino skin and color!

When they have damage to the skin they will shed a lot it speeds the healing it will likely slow some my little ones shed every 4-6 weeks usually.
