Climbing Snakes?
I have a 3 month old bp who likes to climb on top of his hides see how far he can stretch his head towards the top of the tank (or sometimes he just tries to crawl up the glass itself). He's lost his balance a couple times and fallen and I'm slightly worried about him hurting himself. Anyone else had this happen?

Some BPs just like to climb. This is my adult BP Ella. I find her here most mornings.....

How long have you had him? You said he's 3 months old, but have you had him that long or is he a recent addition? What are your temps? Sometimes too hot or too cool can make them restless....

I've had him for about a month. The warm side of his cage is at 90 or slightly over during the day, 78-80 during the night.

Ok, so you've had him long enough that he should be settled in by now. How are you measuring your temps? 90 is good for the warm side but what is the ambient temp (cool side)? If temps are ok, then he could be hungry. What size prey is he taking and how often are you feeding?

Feeding once a week so far...his breeder said that he has eaten small rats, but when we started feeding him it was on mice (pet store was out of rats small enough for him). Yesterday we tried a rat and he didn't take it, so I'm not sure what's up.
