What to look for in Fires?

Nope.
Neither breeder would probably even take it for free.
Totally not interested.
[they've both got seriously high end morphs and aren't much into Fires, anyway, even though they both have a few of their own]

At least half of the mystery is solved.

Now I'm just not clear on the chromosome issue.....

I am only really concerned because of possible future breeding plans.

The snake itself will always be a much loved pet, regardless of what "it" is....

I would say it is definitely a fire also.

Thats a fire for sure. Looks like you might need to find some new sources of information. Doesn't sound like they really know what they are talking about. Have they asked to take it off your hands? If so, they might be trying to pull one over on you.

Oh, BTW, one breeder said he could "see some Fire in it" and would not commit to more than that.

I know it's supposed to be out of a Normal/Fire mating.

Possibly, my snake is just not that high of a quality Fire.

Some of them I've seen in online photos definitely have a "Wow! factor" thing going on.

I've also see snakes in the "morph or not?" forum that looked an awful lot like mine that got unanimous "normal" votes.

I don't know so that's why I ask you folk who do.....
