Some Stuck Shed
Hey everyone!
My Normal BP just went into her first shed (in my care) and she got most of it off except for some under her neck and the tip of her tail. I tried to do the whole soaking thing but she was not liking it one bit. I then tried doing the whole mineral oil + Q-tip and I got half of the shed stuck under the neck off but the rest still won't budge.
Should I just leave her alone and hope it comes off on its own later or keep bugging her until it's all off??
Her tank temps are good but her humidity has been fluctuating a lot lately (even with an aluminum foil cover on it). I would spray it every time I would see it go down but it would only stay at about 70 or a little higher for a few hours then go down again to like 40-45. Just letting you guys know as background info.
Thanks!

Re: Some Stuck Shed
Here is what I have used and works like a champ every time.
Take a warm 80 degree or so damp (not wet) towel. Put it in a Pillow case
Place the snake in the pillow case and tie it shut
Place snake and pillow case back in the enclosure and let sit for an hour
The snake trying to get out will get the stuck shed off and once done you have a nice shiny freshly shed good looking snake

More humidity in the future, but for this I use scotch tape.
