I'm getting worried
I have a female normal bp she hasn't eaten in 3 months she defensively strikes at food when it touches her but it seems like it's really early to go off shed and she's looking thin i don't like it I have not tried assist feeding but isn't mid august early? everyone else is still eating I usually get this way then next week they'll eat... but it just seems august was early

How much does she weigh? If she looks healthy I wouldn't worry

First double and triple check the husbandry. Continue to offer food the way she normally eats every 10-14 days.
If she looks healthy don't worry ball pythons are known for this. If you're really that concerned take her to a vet.

How long have you had her? Is this your first winter with her?
I've found that each BP has its own schedule. Just because winter is when most of them go off of feed doesn't mean they all do.
I have one female that quit eating last July. She didn't start eating again until late October. I don't expect she'll go off feed for the winter now, but she might...
It's just like breeding. Sure, most of them will breed in the fall/winter, and lay eggs in Spring. But there are plenty of examples of that not always being the case. I have eggs due to hatch in 2 weeks. That's not really even close to what happens in the wild, or follows the "norm".
Basically, what I'm using too many words to say..., is don't sweat it. Just because she went off feed in Aug. doesn't mean that was the wrong time for her. If you're planning to breed her, she may be one that goes at a completely different time of year than most.
As asked before, how much does she weigh? Has she lost a significant amount of weight? If it were me, I'd keep offering her food every 7-10 days. I know you want her to eat, but BPs force us to learn patience... Check your husbandry, etc. Good Luck!
