    Soaking the snake to much can deprive the skin of the essential oils and fluids that help the snake get the shed off, not to mention it can be very stressful. I would try the damp pillowcase method. You just make a pillowcase damp, turn it inside out and put the snake in there, make sure you have the pillowcase tied off at the end so there is no escape.
