    hold on, you were returning aspen that had mites? how was that? i mean that store must really be bad to have a bad of aspen, which im sure is in another aisle away from the animal, be infested by mites????

    There are reptile mites and than there are wood mites. Bedding being infected with mites is something that is way too common. Its important to inspect your bedding before you use it.. always.. just to make sure.

    Yeh i actually just finished having a problem with wood mites due to a bark decor i had, found out about wood mites the hard way. Good to know though, when i go to the upcoming expo here in NY ( where i usually get 2 huge bags of aspen bedding) i will definetly be inspecting them closely.

    ive seen some really nice pastels at my petco and the strange thing is normally their snakes are in bad condition but they were in very good care

    The Petsmart closest to me is great with the reptiles. Mostly due to one employee I think. She keeps snakes herself and runs that department. But most are just so so.
