Snake Yawns.....Best Thing EVER!!

Snake Yawn is a good way to win pictures contest on this site Some of ya may remember this one

I do remember your pic, and it was awesome! True that snake yawns are usually a shoe-in for the contests... but when I tried entering these two, somebody else beat me with a better yawn (and better camera). In fact, I think it was YOU who beat me in one contest. I did get a lot of votes, though, and ended up in second place for the Mojave pic.





Obviously this isn't a snake (tortoise at East Bay Vivarium), but I couldn't resist sharing it!

wow i've never yawned so many times in one day!
my girl yawned recently while i was holding her but i didnt get to see it.
scared my disabled 7 yr old son though who was watching her intently. he said "[gasp] whoa!" & cringed away a little & i looked at her just in time to see her closing her mouth.
i explained to my son that it was just a yawn & after he understood, he resumed watching her closely again.

Wow, that last picture is crazy!! You can see every detail of the mouth... very cool.
