    This is a very good question and there is a lot of controversy over it. When it boils down to it, it all depends on your personal preference. I voted belly heat only because I found a better feeding response with the belly heat. However I have a rack that uses back heat and temps, and humidity were all fine. It depends on what works for you - if your making your rack, back heat is easier, cheaper, and safer to work with.

    One thing I found however and is important to consider is that with back heat, I lost a lot of heat transfer from the tape to the bin. My thermostat is set to 107 in order to get a 88 - 92 degree reading on the back of the bin. Just a factor to be aware of.
