Tape In Terrarium!!! Pictures of what can happen.

This is a pic of 2 weeks after my BP got stuck on tape in her terranium. You may have seen my previous post but about this incident but I just wanted to post pics to spread awareness. This pick is scabbed over but If you notice she twisted when she got stuck and ripped her bottom skin off. Notice the hanging of the skin in the middle.

This pic is after she shedded off the scab and ripped herself open in the process. Now the real healing process starts.

Glad to report again that she is doing well and healing. It will end up to be a pretty decent scar latter on considering she is only 160g right now. Well I love my BP as I'm sure and hope all of you do as well. So please take notice of what can happen and be sure you check your tanks, habitats or however you store your herps to make sure there are no hazzards that can harm you snake. Even if as in my case, got in there by accident. You never know, but I just feel that I have to share my experience. Thanks for taking the time to look at this thread. I hope it helps at least 1 herp or 1 owner for the future.

Some of the pictures require a password to view

EDIT: nvm. I'm seeing a total of 4 links. Two work and two require a password.

Well first I cleaned it and put neosporin on it until it scabbed over. The she was in shed and I set her in her feed tank to clean out her terrarium and when I went to grab her out she tried to bite me cause it was her feed day and she was hungry. She had already eatin when I took the first pic and I know that I could feed her in shed so I did. But her Putting down the mouse with the addition of being in shed ripped it off while she was eating. But it would have happened either way because she has a little 1cm wound on the top right now from getting stuck to the tape prior to getting fully stuck. And that scab wont allow the shed around it to come off very easily. I can tell by looking at it that when she does shed that part off that it will be a very small version of what you see in the second pic. It looks much better though withought the scab because when it was scabbed over It was as if she had say the side of her neck connecting to the other side. Or to say that all her bottom scale area no longer existed. Where now it will scar evenly. Hard to explain but it is turning out nicely. I will continue to post pics in the following weeks due to I dont know how her future sheds will go or how long I will have to not feed her.
