    My first morph! (with pictures)

Okay so in just a couple weeks I will be getting my very first ball python morph. He is a 2011 Pastel poss het Albino. I am so excited to be getting my first morph! The pictures that Yeison Giraldo sent to my email sent off red flags with the background but i've seen the pictures on his kingsnake.com listing that look real. I don't know what he does to get the background that way, anyone have ideas? By the way has anyone ever heard of him? Also is the white near his belly piebald markers? I don't think i've seen this on a normal pastel. Anyways i'm posting three pictures, tell me what you think

He probably used a light tent to take those pictures. Which explains the unreal look to the background.

The white near the belly looks like normal flames to me. Het pied "markers" don't include anything like that and you can tell when you are looking at a pied, even a very low white pied from the odd pattern.

He looks like a normal pastel to me. Congrats on your first morph.

I think I will always have trouble seeing a pastel and really knowing without a doubt that it is a pastel. To me I expect the head to be more faded and the markings to be more yellow... takes time I guess and just knowing what to look for. Beautiful snake though! Grats on your first morph.

He prob used a light tent as suggested above That is def a pastel. Those are not het pied markers, FYI het pied markers resemble "train tracks" going down the belly but is still no guarantee that a het pied is a het pied

Pastels, even very brown pastels, have a more tan or yellow-brown color than normals. The sides are usually a dead give away too. If you look at the pictures there is an almost white/cream color that makes up the lower half of the body, that is a good indicator of a pastel. Not all pastels have tons of blushing or a very faded head.

Yes I know for definite fact that he's a pastel. The only thing he's unsure of is if he's het piebald which is why it's possible and not 100% Thank you.
