New AP rack, remove the cable?

Just scored a 32 qt animal plastics rack on craigslist, the guy threw in water bowls a bunch extra tubs and some other stuff. All for $85.... Sweet!

Ok so the rack comes with heat cable, should I use it or switch it out and add some flexwatt (I have plenty at hand)? Never worked with the cable before so advice is welcome.

Anyone have experience with these cables? How do you like them vs. flexwatt?

The cable works just fine. Just don't try to use it on the same thermostat as racks with flexwatt.

Nice pickup, no one else is answering because they are jealous they can't find that deal....

Lol thanks. I'm going to give it a try, if it doesn't work out I could always change it out later. I really like how the rack has the built in indent so the cable fits flush.

Those cables are quality cables and are working great (unlike the zoomed cable)my first first AP rack uses a cable and I have always been very happy with it.

I have heard that you need to run the temps a bit higher than you would with flexwatt, do you find this to be true?
