Guy Finds BP In His Toilet & Calls 911 !

Read this article from the Toronto CP24 News: http://www.cp24.com/servlet/an/local.../?hub=CP24Home

Apparently, this man opened his toilet one day (he never previously owned snakes) and found a BP curled up inside.. Called 911 and animal services took him away.. Probably gonna kill the poor thing The article also says a corn snake was found in the wall of the adjacent apartment. Why cant people just get a locking top!???? How did that poor BP get into the toilet / drain system anyways.. this is actually so unsettling!

I wish I could adopt that ball python..

I like how they said "A python, YES a python" like ooohhh its such a big scary man killing beast lol.

If they are going to do that they should give background of how docile and unharmful they really are that way people dont freak out automatically when they hear "Python" its not like were talking huge burms and retics lol

    Alice Cooper feels your pain:

I used to be terrified of snakes. One time someone had a boa constrictor backstage. I realized that the snake is perhaps the strongest image in the world. I thought, what if I bring it on stage and sing a song with it wrapped around my arm? The next thing you know, the snake is fifteen feet long, the biggest snake anybody's ever seen.

We lost the snake at the Marriott Hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee. They had barely finished the hotel, and we were staying there. I put the snake in the bathtub to let it swim, and I closed the door. I got up the next morning and the snake was gone. There was no lid on the toilet, and the snake had gone into the toilet and down into the pipes.

I called the manager. "My snake is gone." Workmen start tearing down walls, and they don't even want to find this snake. Well, they couldn't find it, so I had to go out and buy another one for the next show. I knew the snake would survive for a while in the pipes. They only eat once a month.

Well, now it's two weeks later, and we're in another town, and I pick up a paper and I read about how the snake came up in Charley Pride's bathroom. Apparently, he walked into his bathroom at the Marriott and there was a boa constrictor coming out of his toilet. He must have turned white.

My snake-phobic dad would've beaten the toilet *and* the snake to death with a sledge hammer.

It's odd, really, because in every other way except that, I'm pretty much his clone.

He'd go berserk because while we were baling hay for the horses, I'd be in the field catching rat, black and corn snakes and playing with them.

He was a an acre or more away, driving the baler so I couldn't hear him screaming at me to put them down and he couldn't catch me from way over there....so I played with them until he came back around the field.

    Oh well.

    BFT12890 -
"calm & unharmful" wont bring ratings & thats why they have to blow everything out of proportion like so. it is why i do not watch the news .
i'm disheartened at the bad publicity snakes get, especially the non-venomous ones. now that some of the kids in my daughter's class know i have a BP a couple of them have said stupid things to her like "i did research & it said ball pythons are dangerous!" she tells me this & i'm like "if ball pythons were dangerous, trust me i wouldnt have one."
    whatever.
i dont much care for ignorant people but the ones that are stubbornly close-minded that really piss me off. thats when it stops being ignorance & starts being stupidity. ok rant over. sorry for that guys. i'm not saying the guy that called 911 is bad or whatever & i'm not gonna even look at the article. i understand if they guy was afraid cuz if he didnt own snakes then he probly had no idea what was curled up in his toilet.
but yeah people need to learn how to properly contain their critters.

Re: Guy Finds BP In His Toilet & Calls 911 !

Punwassie scrambled out of the bathroom, closed the door and called 911 for help.
He said he wasn't scared because he encountered snakes in his home country of Guyana.
The first quote sounds like news reporters attempt to spice up the story a little, but then they follow it up with the second quote, which I find myself believing is closer to the truth. If he wasn't familiar with Ball Pythons, he probably called the police to come remove it. But I doubt he was afraid. Suprised? Yes. Afraid? No. Here is my comparison...

3ft Ball Python In Toilet Vs. Possible Wild Snakes Encountered In Guyana:
    Venomous

    -Coral Snakes
    -Bushmaster
    -Eyelash Pit Viper

    Non-Venomous

    -Amazon Tree Boa
    -Emerald Tree Python
    -Brazilian Rainbow Boa
    -Guyana BCC
    -Anaconda

That female reporter actually said, (paraphrase) I can't imagine opening that lid and looking that snake in the eyes...

cp24 like most news stations is more concerned with ratings than reporting the news sadly.
