Documenting and proving hets
Ok, let's say I have a male visual pied and a 50% het pied female. They breed, she lays a clutch and I get visual pieds. How can I document that she is indeed 100% het pied if I were to ever sell her?

Did you take photos of them locking up? I'd say photos of them locking up, her on the eggs, and photos of the eggs hatching. Its still not a "guaranteed" way, but it sure is better than nothing.

Agreed...
Plus, documentation is your word. YOUR guarantee is all that it means, and if people can't trust you... it doesn't mean anything.

No that was just an example . OK that's what I thought someone would do. This would at least give the buyer documentation that says she is a 100% het and the buyer would be able to come back at you if she did not prove out.
Thanks everyone!

Not necessarily; if there is a het involved, there are no guarantees that you will ever get visuals. That's why some people get away with selling normals as hets; by the time you breed them 3-4 times and never get a visual, the original seller is gone.

This is true and there are a lot of people out there that would love to make a quick buck and run for it.
It would at least be slightly reassuring to the buyer knowing the seller had put that much time into their animals.
