    Interesting feeding experience...

So I had a rather odd feeding experience with Spooky today. He's normally a little pig, strikes and eats right away, every time. Well today, sure enough, he struck as soon as I dangled the pup in front of him, and killed it. Then he stuck its leg in his mouth. Tried swallowing it like that for a couple of minutes, then spit it out. After which he lost all interest in it. Crawled around the feeding box for a little while, then got out and came over to me.

So whatev... I picked him up, and took the pup out of the box with the intention of freezing it for later. Then I don't know what possessed me to do it, but I grabbed the pup behind the neck, and held it in front of Spooky's face. He looked at the pup, then looked at me. Looked at the pup, then looked at me. Looked at the pup, then looked at me... After which he very calmly opened his mouth, and bit (not struck) the pup around its face. Then he very gently took it out of my hand. So I put him back down in the box, where he proceeded to swallow it without any issues.

    Weird! lol. But hilarious.

I,ve heard of stories similar to this from other people, where the python will gently take the feed from the hand.

Sounds like a nice tame python you got, wish mine where the same.

    You got lucky! LOL

Next time that hand is going to be giving off the heat signature and he'll strike and ask question later!
