Come on dude, you posted a picture of a BP being eaten on a BP lovers forum and you didn't think it would offend anyone?????!!!!

I am not offended and understand that things have to eat but, like it was said, this probably was a bad decision to post it here. I wouldn't go on a rabbit lovers forum and post a picture of a rabbit being eaten by a boa or bird lovers forum and show a picture of bird being eaten by a cat and not think it would offend someone.

However, when I was training in Thailand I actually ate Cobra and it was pretty good.

Those that are offended are the ones that are strictly ball python PET owners.

And your comparisons are not the same as a cobra eating bp posted on a Reptile forum.

Of course if you posted a snake or something of that nature on a rat,bird type forum your going to expect hate messages. But posting it on sites like this, there should be no hypocritical postings about it.

And as stated before, Now people know what rat/rabbit lovers feel when they see videos of our snakes eating their Pets.

Yes the site is called ball pythons.net but its for reptile lovers. Theres sub categories from everything from frogs to venomous. Botton line is cobras eat snakes. It is what it is. Now if it was a pic of a chicken eating chicken id be offended, thats just wrong lol. Im a hot lover and a king cobra is a prime example of a top predator in its environment and i think its a cool pic. Yes im a ball python breeder and lover but if you love your snakes you have to respect every aspect of what they are and what they do.

I see nothing wrong with the picture, although it's placement outside the bp section would have been a bit more tactful.

A snake has to eat and sometimes ball pythons have to be the feeder. It's not different from using mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, pigs, etc for food.

As much as I love my snakes, even if someone were to feed the snake live or fk to the cobra it wouldn't be any different to me than feeding a live/ fk rat to any of my snakes.

Those are lousy comparisons.. Why?? Because we as reptile owners have always defended their rights as rabbit, bird, and rat owners.

Very very few of the people on those pet specific forums have ever defended us as snake owners.

It's been brought up on Bpnet before about the absolute abuse a snake owner gets if they show their face on a pet rat or rabbit forum.

No one said it better than Bigguns (Neil) when he told the story of the ferret rescue women he over heard at a show. They said they would kill any snake they saw in their yard.. He then told them he would kill any ferret that escaped into his yard...

He proved a point to those women..

Cut it with the hypocritical junk. If I had a snake eating snake that wouldn't eat rodents, I'd certainly feed it snakes, and I love ALL snakes! Even the cute little garter in my avatar trying to eat my finger.

I agree that feeding ball pythons to other snakes is a stupid idea.

I fed my cribos a steady diet of butters, bananas, caramels, chocolates, cinnamons, mochas, mimosas, sugars, toffees, and vanilla creams. They all developed cholesterol and weight issues.

There are better choices out there.

In nature some snakes eat other snakes and I'm not offended by it.

However, the "...LOL" at the bottom of the picture I found very distasteful.

I could be wrong but, I doubt many people found the joke and/or photo funny.
