    Bit for the first time

I just happened to be feeding my BP his weekly large mouse(moving up to small rats next week) and I did something stupid. I had the mouse on the end of my hemostat by the tail, but I realized he didn't have enough room to coil around his prey... so... in the heat of the moment I reached in with my free hand and moved some of his stuff out of the way, only to be struck at; supposedly he thought my heat signature was the mouse.

Here's a pic of the not-so-gruesome battle wound. It's actually in multiple places.

A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

Mine happened pretty much the same way. Except mine was a 3000 gram female. Snd man that hurt lol. The yearlings don't do much. But when a adult attaches to you you'll bleed. But we were pretty facinated as I had never been but by a adult before. Lol her first words wernt are you ok? They were let me see! Lol. I also learned my lesson

Yeah, it didn't really hurt that much. He also didn't draw blood. I did pull away after the third bite (I only felt two, but there are three sets of fang marks on my hand) so maybe that's why there wasn't much damage. It felt like I had several rapid injections from an irritated nurse. Granted, he was born May 30th, so he's about 5 months old and somewhere around 26-27 inches long. Not sure of his weight, but he's healthy as far as an inexperienced (I've done loads of research though, thanks to this website - I'm on here for a few minutes every night) handler can tell. I'll be switching him to rats next monday/tuesday... Gonna get a lot bigger once he's on a steady diet of those.
