making a "mess"?
is it normal for a ball python to empty her bowels and blatter ALL OVER? it was the biggest mess ive ever seen? i didnt think about it as a breeding response so i moved them over to his tub and left them paired up and cleaned up her tub.. it was horrible.... but im wondering now after the fact... did i make a rookie mistake?

Yea they sometimes poop and pee all over the place when they are having none of it.. Had a girl do it two years in a row and then she settled down last year and allowed a male to breed her.

Re: making a "mess"?
Peeing provides pheromones and is normal. I have a female that pees on all over tubs and males before locking and she is 4000 grams so it is quite a sight ,lol.
Many breeders will leave tubs with pee and sheds when adding males for the pheromones.

Re: making a "mess"?
Especially when I have not yet witnessed a pair locking up, I will let her get extra dirty.
LOL, it sounds really bad but it is true... old pee and shed seems to stimulate the male. Different strokes for different folks I guess....
