If I understand correctly, some guy called him saying all the critters in his neighborhood are gone and there's snake tracks leading to his camper. The OP is going to try and catch the snake, but isn't quite sure what it is, correct? Are you in Florida or Delaware?

I don't know how cold Delaware is this time of year, but Wisconsin is hitting the freezing point this week during nights, so if there is a big snake around the area, he/she is going to be looking for heat if its getting cold out east. Look for heated garages, around dryer vents, etc.

    Good luck!

Im from lower delaware and I think I can translate this....

This concerned person has a neighbor that is in or was in Florida, all the local stray cats and other animals have been vanishing, so he believes that the person in Florida or was in Florida has been feeding them to this monster snake that might have gotten out or since the snake escaped has been controlling the local stray population. Mechnut450 wants to know when found so he can take possession and house it.

Lucky for this monster snake that delaware is loaded with chicken farms, but bad because it gets very cold and is either has burrowed deep or probably has a respiratory already and wont survive to see thanksgiving or much past that.

well if you do catch it DONT CALL THE MEDIA......just handle the situation and be done with it. we as a reptile community dont need any more bad press. especially with everything going on in ohio. just deal with it instead of trying to get your 15 minutes of fame that could destroy your right to own any reptile.

Yup, cause then everyone's lost cats and dogs that ran away/got run over will immediately be blamed on the dang snake whether it did anything or not.

I got a call from the local marina here in GA the other month to pickup a huge python.

I got there to find a HUGE....

    ratsnake.

Now in this story "all the local stray cats, and other small animals have vanished" - in one month? This is not how pythons eat. They aren't Hoovers.

I always tend to take these with a grain (wheelbarrow) of salt...
