Help with aggressive snake.

The problem is it never balls up it is always trying to lung at where ever my hands are going. The only time I seen this thing in a ball is when the original owner handed it to me. Ever since its been very aggressive. I did cover its head up tonight to clean its tub since it dumped its water every where. It tried to bite me at first when I was moving it to the holding tub. Then when I was putting it back in its tub it got my thumb for a split second. I didnt want to handel it any longer due to the fact that it just ate hours earlier.

This is gonna sound stupid but ur prolly gonna have to take a bite or two. Jus pick him up and show him u aren't scared. Easier said than done I know. Once he bites and sees it doesn't effect youu he'll chill out. They are like children. Once they see they can get their way they will do it ever time. You gotta break the cycle.. good luck

One thing I have found to help, and with multiple species, is to take a dry towel and wipe it all over my arms and any other typically exposed skin, basically getting my scent on it. Then I place it in the animals cage. I repeat this daily. The animal will become acustomed to your smell and associate it as something that is non threatening. It worked on a big argentine boa I rescued a while back. That poor animal was tortured. It took only about a week to get it tamed down. While I was doing the towel bit, when I needed to handle it, I would place a towel over it's head and then just pull it out. I was a little cowardly and wore some thick sweatshirts for the first few days. At any rate, I definitely recommend scenting dry towels and leaving them in the snakes habitat.

if he gets you and coils up again, dont stop what your doing to get him off, just continue what your doing, even if that means taking care of the other snakes while hes busy trying to eat you. eventually he'll figure out that he cant, and will be more hesitant to strike since he'll know that he cant kill you or let alone eat you, and that you wont care even if he tries. theres no way around getting bit with a snake like this, you just gotta take it

The best way I found to get a coiled snake off of me, was a quick touch to its nose with an ice cube. They let go immediately every time.

This sounds like its going to be a fun few months. The first time it bit me I didn't force it off until it was done biting me.
I don't mind getting bit, just prefer not too. But I will have to try what you guys are saying. Some great advice here.

Yes. I feed it a small - medium size rat the first night. (these are the size my 500 gram snakes are eating). I wanted to start small. The second was a 2 days later, only because I had a mouse that was in pain and needed put out of its pain. I knew the snake would take it and it wouldn't be to much. Then 5 days later I feed it another med rat. Then tonight (6 days later) I feed it a large rat.
